`Heartbroken' Michael B. Jordan at NBA game
A day after news broke that Michael B. Jordan had broken up with Lori Harvey — the “special” woman who made him realize “what love was” — the actor turned up courtside at Chase Center Sunday to watch Steph Curry, Jordan Poole and the rest of the Warriors defeat the Boston Celtics 107-88 in Game 2 of the 2022 NBA finals.
Perhaps the 35-year-old “Creed” star was looking for a temporary distraction from his heartbreak, as his post-breakup feelings were described by People magazine, which was the first to confirm the couple had split.
Jordan, who was People magazine's 2020 Sexist Man Alive, attended the Warriors game with his good friend, the rapper Cordae, TMZ reported. Not surprisingly, the Hollywood heartthrob was recognized by the media and others in the crowd, and the Chase Center Twitter account gave him an official welcome.
Also not surprisingly, fans on social media were trying to guess his mood, so soon after his breakup from Harvey, the 24-yearold model-influencer whom he had been dating for more than a year. Fans on social media discussed whether his eyes look “watery” or whether his usual mega-watt smile wasn't as bright as it normally is, according to TMZ.
Both Jordan and Harvey, the daughter of comedian and “Family Feud” host Steve Harvey, were left “completely heartbroken” by the breakup. “They still love each other,” the source said.
For reasons yet to be revealed, the romance wasn't meant to be.
According to People, there is some suggestion that Jordan was ready to take the next, big step in the relationship, while the younger Harvey wasn't quite so ready to commit. “Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term,” a source told People. “He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time.”
Jordan very publicly celebrated their one-year anniversary of dating in November by posting a gallery of photos of the two of them looking happy and in love, People reported.
