Astros end Rays' home win streak
Luis Garcia scattered three hits over six innings and the Houston Astros ended the Tampa Bay Rays' 14-game season-opening home winning streak, 5-0 on Tuesday night.
Only three teams had a longer run than the Rays, who are 20-4 overall.
The announced crowd for the game between the MLB-best Rays and the defending World Series champion Astros at Tropicana Field was just 9,916.
Garcia (2-2) struck out seven, walked two and allowed just one runner to reach scoring position.
The Rays were held homerless for the second consecutive game after going deep 48 times during an MLB-record 22 straight games to begin a season.
Astros second baseman Mauricio Dubón doubled in the fifth to extend his hitting streak to 19 games.

Andrew McCutchen put Pittsburgh ahead 7-2 with a three-run homer, sending a sinker from Noah Syndergaard to right in a four-run fourth. Syndergaard was pulled after the inning, allowing seven runs on nine hits.
RED SOX 8, ORIOLES 6 >> Jarren Duran hit a grand slam in the third and Boston withstood a five-run ninth inning by Baltimore, holding on for a victory that snapped the Orioles' seven-game winning streak.
Boston led 8-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth before the Orioles rallied with a leadoff homer by Gunnar Henderson and a oneout grand slam by Cedric Mullins.
Corey Kluber (1-4) pitched six innings, limiting the Orioles to four singles and a solo homer by Jorge Mateo in the fifth.
