Sean Redmond Sullivan, 61, passed away on June 7, 2023. He was born on August 2, 1961 in Castro Valley, CA. Sean was the third of six children. He attended All Saints grade school and Moreau High School, then went to Chico State University in California. Sean was a member of Troop 876 in Hayward, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Sean enjoyed driving trucks and started out his career in the concrete industry, eventually starting his own trucking business.

In his free time, more than anything else, Sean enjoyed spending time at home with his boys. He also tended to his beautiful house, yard and vehicles. Sean was known in his neighborho­od for his well-manicured garden and festive holiday decoration­s. He was generous, fun, and organized. He also enjoyed classic cars, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle­s.

Sean's family was everything to him. He was a compassion­ate, devoted father of three boys, and a kind and supportive brother, friend, and neighbor. He saw the best in people and was a gracious guest, always with a kind word or compliment for the host.

Sean was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Dorothy Sullivan. He is survived by his three sons Harley Satara, Wesley Sullivan, Charley Sullivan, and his five siblings. Brother Kevin Sullivan (Colleen) and sister Katie Sullivan of Juneau, AK; sister Maura of Tracy; brother Brian (Emily) Sullivan of Oakland; and brother Patrick (Gina) Sullivan of Valley Springs, CA, 4 nephews, and 4 nieces.

His funeral mass will be held on Saturday August 12, 2023 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Castro Valley.
