This month marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 U.S. terrorist attacks. In the Sept. 17, 2001 issue, E&P memorialized the date on the cover, while inside New York-based daily newspapers shared their stories “There are no beats on this story,” New York Post metro editor Jonathan Auerbach told E&P. “Everybody called in, everybody had been in, and they’re all going to be in for the foreseeable future, working 14-to-16 hour days.”
