How can newsrooms transform their opinion section into a more positive resource for readers?

We must foster inclusive forums that are open to anyone who would like to participate in good faith and that we do so with an eye toward ease-ofuse and digital accessibility. At The Philadelphia Inquirer, the opinion section aspires to be a sandbox for our newsroom's multi-platform transformation that includes a range of goals. We strive to help members of our community engage with the editorial board in new ways— online, in the print edition, with video and audio pieces, and by hosting live events.
