FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas announced Monday that its Razorbacks will play the University of Memphis Tigers of the American Athletic Conference in three nonconference football games. The first is scheduled Sept. 20, 2025, at the Liberty Bowl Stadium in Memphis then at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville on Sept. 19, 2026 and Sept. 9, 2028. Arkansas and Memphis previously played each other for five nonconference games from 1992-1998 after Arkansas left the Southwest Conference to join the Southeastern Conference. “I am excited for our fans throughout Arkansas and extending into Memphis that this series has come to fruition,” Arkansas Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek said through a UA press release Monday. “Based on the proximity of the two institutions and their respective fan bases, I believe these games will generate tremendous interest.” Arkansas now has two nonconference games scheduled for the 2025 season adding Memphis to Notre Dame’s firstever visit to Fayetteville. The Razorbacks open the 2019 season Aug. 31 hosting Portland State at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in a 3 p.m. nonconference game televised by the SEC Network.
