Ar­rita Buie Sadler, 95, of Baux­ite, passed away Fri­day, June 14. She was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Grant County. Ar­rita was an ac­tive mem­ber of West Baux­ite Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church, where she was known as “The Gum Lady.”

She was pro­ceeded in death by par­ents Hardin and Birdie Buie; her hus­band, Huey L. Sadler; a daugh­ter, Diana

Sut­ton; a grand­son, Ja­son Hen­thorne; two great-grand­sons, Aaron Masin­gale and Adam Brewer; three brothers; two sis­ters; and a son-in-law, Jer­rel Bruce.

She is sur­vived by four daugh­ters and their hus­bands, Rita (Harold) Mann, Wanda (Terry) Hen­thorne, Brenda Bruce and Judy (Billy) Teague; nine grand­chil­dren, Ch­eryl (Mark) Vice, Janet Brown, Jen­nifer (Chris) Frank,

Lisa (Jodie) John­son, Joy (Mike) Ed­mon­son,

Wendy (Ron) Mc­car­ley, JJ (Amanda) Bruce,

Daniel Teague and Christy Har­ris; 23 great­grand­chil­dren, Jor­dan, Bran­don, Brit­tany

(Bradley), Matthew (Micha), Jacob (Jes­sica),

Choni (Zach), Ian (Syd­ney), Edi­son, Eli, Cody

(Han­nah), Josh (Jas­mine), Hunter, Layla, Kyle

(Dawn), Tris­tan (Haven), Zayne, Ash­ley, Austin, Steven, Ni­co­las, Lind­sey, Abby and Connor; 16 great-great-grand­chil­dren, Branch, Bliss, Jade, Bray­den, Brynnlee, Bella, Sawyer, Jo­ce­lyn, Jacey, Pay­ton, Kait­lyn, Anna Bell, Addy, Layne, AJ and Gabriel; a sis­ter, Martha Earnest; a sis­ter-in-law, Shirley What­ley; a brother-in-law, David Cham­blee; and many nieces, neph­ews and her church fam­ily whom she loved very much.

Vis­i­ta­tion was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Mon­day, June 17, at Ashby Fu­neral Home.

Fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. to­day, June 18, at West Baux­ite Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church.
