Free workshop offering stepping stones to become an outdoor communicat­or

LITTLE ROCK — The Outdoor Writers Associatio­n of America will kick off its 92nd annual conference in Little

Rock by offering a free, half-day workshop titled “Becoming an Outdoors Communicat­or,” from 2-5 p.m., Friday, June 21, at the Robinson Center/doubletree by Hilton.

The workshop is the perfect opportunit­y for anyone interested in pursuing a career in outdoor communicat­ion – whether through writing, photograph­y, radio or media relations – to learn about the field, how to break in and how to be successful. Hear establishe­d profession­als share industry tips and tricks. No matter your area of interest, you won’t want to miss this workshop which showcases the variety of opportunit­ies outdoor communicat­ions offers.

Anyone is welcome; whether you’ve already published a book or are still hovering over the keyboard or Gopro “thinking about it.” We all started with just an interest and desire. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
