Cham­ber’s fall Bingo night set Sept. 5

The Ben­ton Area Cham­ber of Com­merce’s pop­u­lar Bingo event is back for fall, sched­uled at 6 p.m. Sept. 5, at the Ben­ton Event Cen­ter. Doors open at 5 p.m.

This will be the third Bingo of the year.

“We love do­ing this for the com­mu­nity,” said Direc­tor of Events Amy Mccormick. “We are happy they en­joy it.”

She be­lieves the event ap­peals to a wide range of ages and serves as a great night out for the com­mu­nity.

The Cham­ber ex­pects a crowd of 650 to 750 peo­ple to at­tend.

The night will fea­ture 20 rounds of Bingo. Rounds one through 16 are in­cluded in the price of ad­mis­sion. Play­ers can pur­chase ex­tra cards for each round for a dol­lar each. The win­nings build each round with the first win­ner tak­ing home $100.

Rounds 17 through 20 are con­sid­ered bonus rounds. They are the higher win­ning rounds with the win­ner of round 20 tak­ing home $1,000. Those game cards are $2 each.

Cash pay­outs for the night to­tal up to $7,500, ac­cord­ing to Mccormick.

Be­fore the rounds be­gin, the Cham­ber of­fers a spe­cial where play­ers can buy cards for all 20 rounds for $20.

The pat­terns through­out the night vary from nor­mal Bingo to four cor­ners to black­out.

River­side Gro­cery and Ca­ter­ing will be sell­ing con­ces­sions through­out the evening, in­clud­ing bas­kets of chicken and fish.

Beer and wine will be sold at a cash bar.

There will also be a 50/50 raf­fle where the win­ner takes half of the raf­fle pro­ceeds. Mccormick said the win­ner of the pre­vi­ous raf­fle took home $1,800.

The spon­sors for the event pro­vide door prizes for the evening. At­ten­dees can fill out a slip to be en­tered for prizes.

Due to state law, all play­ers must be 18 or older to en­ter. Tick­ets can­not be sold on­line.

“It is a fun night,” Mccormick said. “It is a way to get away from the house and win some money.”
