Con­stance ‘An­nette’ Davis

Con­stance “An­nette” Davis, 83, of Baux­ite, passed away Tues­day, Aug. 20. She was born June 1, 1936, in Dar­danelle, to the late Roscoe Napoleon and Jessie Beatrice (Rags­dale) Raney.

An­nette grew up in a large fam­ily and was the old­est of 11 chil­dren. Fam­ily was im­por­tant to her and she loved spend­ing time with them. An­nette also en­joyed spend­ing time with her “Bunco Girls.” She and her late hus­band en­joyed fish­ing and hunt­ing. She was also a big Baux­ite Miners fan and at­tended many foot­ball games with her son. An­nette loved her con­stant com­pan­ions: her cat, Gypsy and her dog, Roxie.

Pre­ced­ing An­nette in death are her hus­band, Grover Cleve­land Davis; a son, Cleve­land “Skip” Davis; her par­ents, Roscoe and Jessie Raney; and eight siblings, John, Jim, Brown, Gus, Her­bert, Joe, David and Sheila.

She leaves be­hind to cher­ish her mem­ory two daugh­ters, Linda Stuckey and hus­band, Mickey, of Bryant, and Laura Head­ing­ton and hus­band, Ronny, of Baux­ite; four grand­chil­dren, Nina Davis and her part­ner, Vicki Hen­der­son, Zack Head­ing­ton and wife, Bre, Ryan Stuckey and girl­friend, Mor­gan Dlouhy, and Meghan High and hus­band, Will; five great-grand­sons; a great-grand­daugh­ter; a great-great-grand­son; a sis­ter, San­dra Ray, of Ben­ton; a brother, Jay Spencer Raney, of Texarkana, Texas; a spe­cial neigh­bor and friend, Cyn­thia Dunn; and a num­ber of fam­ily mem­bers and friends who loved An­nette and will miss her al­ways.

Visi­ta­tion will be held form 6 to 7 p.m. Thurs­day, Aug. 22, at Smith-ben­ton Funeral Home, lo­cated at 322 N. Mar­ket St. in Ben­ton.
