Hor­nets tops at Hur­ri­cane

BRYANT – Bryant sopho­more Daniel Taylor led the way on Tues­day in nine holes at Hur­ri­cane Golf & Coun­try Club, shoot­ing a 1-un­der 35 to help the Hor­nets to a match win in Bryant.

The Hor­nets, which won their sec­ond match of the year, shot a 162, fol­lowed by Bap­tist Prep’s 173, with the Bryant ju­nior var­sity shoot­ing a 201.

Af­ter Taylor’s un­der par score, ju­nior An­drew Gas­pard shot a 40, ju­nior Lo­gan Mcdon­ald a 41 and se­nior Ian Thrash a

46 to round out the 162. Sopho­more Lan­don Wallace had a 47.

Ju­nior PJ Holling­worth led the Bryant JV with a 45 and sopho­more Brae­don Boyce

shot a 48, with ju­niors Will Hanson and Jimmy Cer­ruti com­ing in with 54s.

With the Bryant girls not

field­ing a full team, sopho­more Caitlin Lac­erra shot a 39, with se­nior Brook­lyn Waller shoot­ing a 50.

Bryant is back in ac­tion on Satur­day, trav­el­ing to Con­way for the Wam­pus Cat In­vi­ta­tional at 1 p.m.
