Salt Bowl organizers outline safety procedures
For those attending this Friday’s Salt Bowl at War Memorial Stadium, organizers have released a list of safety procedures, including permitted and prohibited items.
Approved bags allowed in the stadium include clutch purses no larger than 4.5 inches-by-6.6 inches and clear tote bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC no larger than 12 inchesby-6 inches-by-12 inches.
Clear plastic storage bags no larger than gallon size are also allowed.
According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, barricades will be set up inside the stadium concourse that will prevent those attending the game from going from one
side of the stadium to the other. Benton fans will enter on the home side, while Bryant fans will enter on the visitor’s side. Gamegoers that enter on the wrong side of the stadium will not be allowed to re-enter without purchasing another ticket.
The list of items permitted into the stadium include:
•Binoculars (no case). •Cameras (6” lens or less).
•Rain gear, blankets and coats.
•Stadium seats without arms or pockets.
•Water bottles (empty, clear, 20 oz or less). •Service dogs. •Electronic tablets. •Medical items (bags will be inspected).
Prohibited items include:
•Weapons of any kind. •Coolers or thermal containers.
•Selfie sticks. •Umbrellas.
•Food or beverages. •Strollers or baby carriers.
•All tobacco products including e-cigarettes.
•Drones or laser pointers.
•Noise makers. •Inflatable balls or toys.
