Per­ry­lene Crouch, 95, of Ben­ton, passed away Mon­day, Oct. 7. She was born July 2, 1924, in Ben­ton, to the late Robert and Mary O’neal Hay­good. Per­ry­lene was a beau­ti­cian for many years at Miller’s Beauty Shop in Ben­ton and re­tired at the age of 75. She led a very blessed life and was a mem­ber of Hol­land Chapel Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church and a mem­ber in spirit of New Life Land­mark Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church. Per­ry­lene was the in­spi­ra­tion and strength that held our fam­ily to­gether. She was the strong­est per­son we have ever known. Her strength, along with her phys­i­cal de­ter­mi­na­tion, was an in­spi­ra­tion for many. We thank God for putting us in her life.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; her hus­band, Her­man W. Crouch; a daugh­ter, Donna Kaye Crouch Ritchey; a sis­ter, Pauline Hay­good Nee­ley; a son-in-law, John C. Sims; a grand­son, Charles Ly­tle Jr.; and three broth­ers, O.W. (Dub) Hay­good, A.G. Hay­good and Ker­mit Hay­good.

Per­ry­lene is sur­vived by a daugh­ter, Phyl­lis Crouch Sims; two grand­daugh­ters, Kim (Chuck) Ritchey Ly­tle, of For­rest City, and Amy (Tony) Ritchey Hester, of Ben­ton; a son-in­law, Doyle Ritchey Jr. of Ben­ton; four great-grand­chil­dren, Michael Ly­tle, Hana Hester, Tony Hester and Ha­ley Hester; four great-great-grand­chil­dren, Jar­rett, John Ross, Avelee and Alexis Ly­tle; many friends and ex­tended fam­ily mem­bers.

A grave­side ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs­day, Oct. 10, at Gra­ham Ceme­tery in Haskell.

Visi­ta­tion will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. to­day, Oct. 9, at Ashby Funeral Home.

Fam­ily Com­ments: Per­ry­lene will be missed more than words can con­vey. But this we know, she is in the arms of her Lord and has been per­fected and healed. We know we will see her again. The fam­ily would like to thank ev­ery­one for their prayers and love that will sus­tain all of them.
