Perrylene Crouch, 95, of Benton, passed away Monday, Oct. 7. She was born July 2, 1924, in Benton, to the late Robert and Mary O’neal Haygood. Perrylene was a beautician for many years at Miller’s Beauty Shop in Benton and retired at the age of 75. She led a very blessed life and was a member of Holland Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and a member in spirit of New Life Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Perrylene was the inspiration and strength that held our family together. She was the strongest person we have ever known. Her strength, along with her physical determination, was an inspiration for many. We thank God for putting us in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman W. Crouch; a daughter, Donna Kaye Crouch Ritchey; a sister, Pauline Haygood Neeley; a son-in-law, John C. Sims; a grandson, Charles Lytle Jr.; and three brothers, O.W. (Dub) Haygood, A.G. Haygood and Kermit Haygood.
Perrylene is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Crouch Sims; two granddaughters, Kim (Chuck) Ritchey Lytle, of Forrest City, and Amy (Tony) Ritchey Hester, of Benton; a son-inlaw, Doyle Ritchey Jr. of Benton; four great-grandchildren, Michael Lytle, Hana Hester, Tony Hester and Haley Hester; four great-great-grandchildren, Jarrett, John Ross, Avelee and Alexis Lytle; many friends and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Graham Cemetery in Haskell.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 9, at Ashby Funeral Home.

Family Comments: Perrylene will be missed more than words can convey. But this we know, she is in the arms of her Lord and has been perfected and healed. We know we will see her again. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and love that will sustain all of them.
