JPS approve transfer of reimbursement funds
The Saline County Quorum Court approved an ordinance regarding the transfer of funds totaling more than $300,000 during a regularly scheduled meeting Monday evening.
With anticipated revenues for the year of 2019 increased to $325,000, the justices of the peace approved an appropriation ordinance that will see the funds appropriated to Fund 2000 County Road, line item 2025- Asphalt.
“These were funds that were actually reimbursed to the county that we were not expecting,” said County Judge Jeff Arey. “It is revenue, so that’s the reason for the appropriation.”
The JPS also approved an appropriation ordinance that will see $5,202 in county general funds transferred from line item 1002 Part-time help to line item 0105 Receptionist for the Saline County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
An appropriation ordinance for the Saline County Public Defenders Office was also approved. The ordinance Ok’ed $9,723 in funds to be transferred from the small equipment line item to the part-time help and Social Security matching funds line items. Approximately $9,000 will go to part-time help with the remaining $700 to Social Security matching funds.
The final ordinance approved authorized a transfer of $3,241 in country general funds in the tax assessor department to be transferred from the parttime help line item to the assessor personal property line item.
The ordinances on the agenda were all unanimously approved.
