JPS ap­prove trans­fer of re­im­burse­ment funds

The Saline County Quo­rum Court ap­proved an or­di­nance re­gard­ing the trans­fer of funds to­tal­ing more than $300,000 dur­ing a reg­u­larly sched­uled meet­ing Mon­day evening.

With an­tic­i­pated rev­enues for the year of 2019 in­creased to $325,000, the jus­tices of the peace ap­proved an ap­pro­pri­a­tion or­di­nance that will see the funds ap­pro­pri­ated to Fund 2000 County Road, line item 2025- As­phalt.

“These were funds that were ac­tu­ally re­im­bursed to the county that we were not ex­pect­ing,” said County Judge Jeff Arey. “It is rev­enue, so that’s the rea­son for the ap­pro­pri­a­tion.”

The JPS also ap­proved an ap­pro­pri­a­tion or­di­nance that will see $5,202 in county gen­eral funds trans­ferred from line item 1002 Part-time help to line item 0105 Re­cep­tion­ist for the Saline County Pros­e­cut­ing At­tor­ney’s Of­fice.

An ap­pro­pri­a­tion or­di­nance for the Saline County Public De­fend­ers Of­fice was also ap­proved. The or­di­nance Ok’ed $9,723 in funds to be trans­ferred from the small equip­ment line item to the part-time help and So­cial Se­cu­rity match­ing funds line items. Ap­prox­i­mately $9,000 will go to part-time help with the re­main­ing $700 to So­cial Se­cu­rity match­ing funds.

The fi­nal or­di­nance ap­proved au­tho­rized a trans­fer of $3,241 in coun­try gen­eral funds in the tax asses­sor depart­ment to be trans­ferred from the part­time help line item to the asses­sor per­sonal prop­erty line item.

The or­di­nances on the agenda were all unan­i­mously ap­proved.
