Geneva Fern Pow­ell

Geneva Fern Pow­ell, 84, of Ben­ton, passed away Wed­nes­day, Oct. 23. She was born in Owensville, to the late Frank and Marie Gar­rett.

Geneva was a home­maker who en­joyed gar­den­ing and work­ing in her flower beds. Most of all, she loved her fam­ily dearly.

She is sur­vived by her de­voted hus­band of 54 won­der­ful years, Billy D. Pow­ell; five chil­dren, Karen Pow­ell, Benny Pow­ell (Tammy), Teresa Ba­gley (Ron­ald), Jerry Grant (Tracey) and Barbara Mosley (Buster); 15 grand­chil­dren, Ryan Mcdon­ald, Amanda Jolly, Heath Pow­ell, Mitch Pow­ell, Misti Hal­ter, Leslee Ba­gley, Grant Ba­gley, Jerri Lynn Thomas, Jill Cato, Jessie Grant, Sammy Grant, Bri­ton Mitchell, Keith Mitchell, Andy Mosley and Amanda Bradey; and a num­ber of great-grand­chil­dren and other ex­tended fam­ily mem­bers and friends.

She wass pre­ceded in death her par­ents; a son, Doug Grant; and a brother, Richard Gar­rett.

In lieu of flow­ers, me­mo­ri­als may be made to the Coun­sel­ing Clinic, At­ten­tion: Ty Crutch­field, 110 Pear­son St., Ben­ton, AR 72015.

Geneva will be ly­ing in state to­day, Oct. 25, at Smith Ben­ton Fu­neral Home, lo­cated at 322 N. Mar­ket St.

A cel­e­bra­tion of her life will be held at 11 a.m.

Mon­day, Oct. 28, at Owensville Ceme­tery on Arkansas 5. Per her re­quest, please dress ca­sual.
