Bryant Board OKS per­son­nel changes Mon­day

The Bryant School Board had a brief spe­cial meet­ing Mon­day. The only item on the agenda was per­son­nel changes.

Ap­proved changes in­clude five res­ig­na­tions, two new teach­ers, five new food ser­vice work­ers and two con­tract ad­just­ments.

Melissa Mill­wood, speech lan­guage pathol­o­gist and Done­sia Stew­ard, el­e­men­tary teacher, are re­sign­ing from their po­si­tions ef­fec­tive Dec. 20.

Kristina Kidd, cus­to­dian, Teresa Squires, cus­to­dian, and Conni Va­len­cia, spe­cial ed­u­ca­tion para­pro­fes­sional, re­signed from their posts last month.

Amanda Jones was hired for an el­e­men­tary teacher po­si­tion at Hur­ri­cane Creek El­e­men­tary School. Jones has a bach­e­lor’s de­gree from Ua-lit­tle Rock.

Dawn Michele Neal was hired for an el­e­men­tary teacher po­si­tion at Hill Farm El­e­men­tary. Neal has a bach­e­lor’s de­gree from the Univer­sity of Arkansas and a master’s de­gree from Hard­ing Univer­sity. Prior to teach­ing in Bryant, Neal was an el­e­men­tary teacher for Charles­ton Pub­lic School.

Dawn Boyd, Makiko Farr, Reme­dios

Lane, Brit­taney Leonard and Rey Naya were hired as food ser­vice work­ers.

Hol­lie Har­ris had an el­e­men­tary archery stipend added to her con­tract and Tarah Hughes had the ad­di­tion of a stipend for serv­ing as the Bryant Mid­dle School year­book spon­sor.

All meet­ings of the Bryant School Board are open to the pub­lic and at­ten­dance is en­cour­aged.

The board will gather for a reg­u­larly sched­uled meet­ing on Nov. 21 at Bryant High School cam­pus.
