Fagan An­drew “Andy” Fulling­ton

Fagan An­drew “Andy” Fulling­ton was born on De­cem­ber 3, 1946, in Ben­ton. He left this world on Novem­ber 11, 2019. Andy will be re­mem­bered for his hard work, his abil­ity to fix most any­thing and his de­vo­tion to help­ing his fam­ily and friends in their times of need.

Andy was a radar­man second class in the Navy and served as an elec­tronic war­fare op­er­a­tor and watch sec­tion su­per­vi­sor on the USS Franklin D. Roo­sevelt. In 2016, he re­tired from the Al­ma­tis / Al­coa plant after 42 years of work­ing var­i­ous jobs within the com­pany. From x-ray tech­ni­cian in the med­i­cal depart­ment to work­ing along their chem­i­cal en­gi­neers in the Cal­cines depart­ment.

Andy is sur­vived by his wife of 47 years, Patti; his daugh­ter Jenny John­ston and hus­band Danny; his son Ja­cob Fulling­ton and wife Carol. “Grumpa” will be missed by his four grand­chil­dren, Dal­ton and Erin John­ston and Blaine and Shelby Fulling­ton. He is also sur­vived by Ma­jon Downs, his sis­ter and her daugh­ter Anna Brewer and hus­band Melvin. Andy also had sev­eral nieces, neph­ews and cousins that will miss his will­ing­ness to help out if some­thing needed to be fixed or re­placed. Andy is pro­ceeded in death by his par­ents, John and Zona Fulling­ton of Ben­ton. Visi­ta­tion and me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held start­ing at 1 p.m. Novem­ber 15 at Salem United Methodist Church. In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily re­quest that do­na­tions be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
