Bryant Board to discuss employee bonuses
With the holidays around the corner, the Bryant School Board is scheduled to discuss a one-time bonus payment for all employees during a meeting today.
The board’s regular meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Professional Development Building on the Bryant High School Campus.
The district’s Personnel Policy Committee and administration are recommending the board approve a “one-time nonrecurring salary payment” to all active contracted employees.
According to the proposal, all eligible employee will receive a single lump-sum payment during the week of Dec. 2, 2019.
To be eligible for the bonus, staff members must be actively employed as of today and be in good standing with the district.
Certified employees will receive $400 each and classified employee will receive a proportion of the $400 payment based on their hours-per-day or their normal, average actual hours-per
Classified employees working less than 3 hours per day will receive $160; employees working 3 to
4.9 hours will receive $240, employees working 5 to
6.9 hours will receive $320 and employees working 7 or more hours will receive $400, according to the proposal.
During the recognition portion of the meeting, the board will recognize Bryant High School students who received the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating proficiency in English and one or more other languages by high school graduation.
Other items on the agenda include:
•Out of state travel requests from the Bryant High School Softball
Team, Bryant High School JROTC and the Bryant High School Varsity Dance Team.
•The Oct. 2019 financial report.
•The proposed 20212022 school year budget.
•A recommendation to expel a Bryant Junior High School student for the remainder of the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.
All meetings of the board are open to the public and attendance is encouraged.
