Earlier this month, the Bryant School District announced that the Everett family made a donation to help with the cost of artificial turf on the outdoor field along with replacing the turf in the Hornet Field House. During the final 2019 meeting, the Bryant School Board will discuss this project. The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. today at the Professional Development Center on the Bryant High School campus.
District administration has recommended that Lewis Architect and Engineers be hired to handle architectural services for the turf replacement. After receiving four bids, administration is also recommending a bid from Geo Surfaces to replace the turf at a cost of $720,000. The turf is set to be replaced in the summer of 2020.
During the recognition portion of the meeting, the board will recognize several students for their recent accomplishments.
Other items on the agenda include:
• A consent agenda including 25 petitions for transfer.
•A contract for Lewis Architects to handle roof replacements at Springhill Elementary School, Davis
Elementary School and Building 8 at Bryant High School.
•The November financial report.
•An expulsion recommendation.
•Personnel changes. All meetings of the board are open to the public and attendance is encouraged.
