Company seeks to provide good customer service
As a locally owned business, Mullins’ Flooring seeks to provide good customer service and prices.
It has been in business for 35 years.
The owner, Leoda Mullins, has been with the business 32 years.
She joined when her husband needed help.
“If it’s flooring, we do it,” Mullins said.
Mullins has been in Benton since she was 2-years old.
She is an advocate for buying and selling locally to help the economy of the community.
“It is important to keep the community going,” she said.
She enjoys her customers and loves seeing them come back whenever they have a flooring need. She said Benton is a loyal place.
As a member of the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce, the business gets help with promotion and other aspects.
The store offers luxury vinyl tile to hardwood and more. If she does not have it, she will try to find it. She does warn the pandemic has slowed how fast she can get product.
With its own sales, the store offer installation.
She and her nephew, Alvin Wilson, work together in the store. Wilson handles measuring and estimates.
She employs 12 installers. She said as a business, they like to take pride in a job well done.
Mullins said customer service and customer recommendations are the best advertisements.
She said she and her employers work to make ever job as perfect as possible. They try to work through situations to ensure it is done well.
Mullins prides herself on being honest and telling her customers the truth.
She said Mullins’ Flooring provides a hometown atmosphere, good service and reasonable prices.
She enjoys getting to see the people of Saline County. She has made many good friendships with her customers and gotten to know many people.
She has had the privilege to take care of families from the grandparents through the grandchildren.
Mullins said flooring is not a fast service. To ensure quality work, it can take anywhere from one to four days to install flooring correctly.
“It is a hometown business with hometown values,” Mullins said.
Mullins is located at 19231 Interstate 30 in Benton. It can be reached at 501-776-1720. The store is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment after hours and Saturday mornings.
