UCAPS planning fundraiser for Saturday

A ‘ Tiques and Flea Market Union County Animal Protection Society fundraiser will be held from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday at the TAC House, corner of North West Avenue and Fifth Street.

According to a spokespers­on for UCAPS, 20 vendors will have booths inside the TAC House; grilled hot dogs, chips and drinks will be sold on the parking lot, and a dunking booth will be on the parking lot with celebrity candidates participat­ing.

Booth vendors will include UCAPS crafts license plates; garage sale items; Arbonne skin care; make-up; bath and body; hair; fragrance and nutrition; Hanry House Antiques; furniture; home décor; Coach and Fossil purses; Young Creations; wooden plaques; Karen’s Workshop handmade duck calls; wooden salad fork and spoon; lazy Susans; cutting boards; hand turned pens and pencils; Sweet and Sassy Girls and Women’s clothing; Nose Candy scented wax candles; glassware; scented incense sticks; Diann Sherrill Mary Kay Cosmetics; jewelry and purses; Elements Glass Art Studio Nightlight; coasters; jewelry; vases; art glass plates; Two Bayou Soaps; homemade soaps; scrubs; salves; candles; candle melts; K&K Kreations Fashion and accessorie­s; Smooch a Pooch; kissing booth with the “cutest babies ever” and also many individual­s will have garage sale booths inside.

The event is being held to raise money for the animal shelter to feed, vaccinate and find homes for the abused and abandoned animals of Union County. There will also be dogs, puppies and kittens for adoption.
