Fall issue of El Dorado Insider’s Guide available at Chamber of Commerce
The fall issue of the El Dorado Insider’s Guide is now available at the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce office, 111 W. Main St., and the Arkansas Welcome Center, 3315 Junction City Hwy.
Produced locally by The Diamond Agency, the EIG brings together all the essential information for planning your autumn in El Dorado.
The fall issue highlights exciting upcoming events with a community calendar for August, September and October 2014.
Features include in- depth stories on events such as MusicFest, the five-time Arkansas Festival of the Year; an exhibit of the work of famed folk artist Clementine Hunter at the South Arkansas Arts Center; and the announcement of the 2014-2015 season of the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, among many others.
The edition also includes a look at some of the projects made possible by the one-cent economic development sales tax, which was approved by El Dorado voters in 2007.
The money raised through this initiative has helped fund projects like the hugely successful El Dorado Conference Center, the Lions Club Municipal Golf Course and walking trail, and the business recruitment of Therma-Flite, all of which are featured in this issue.
A special section, the 2014 Design Guide, highlights the amazing work of El Dorado’s design community, past, present and future.
A photographic tour of recognizable and import- ant historic buildings is joined by a look at the future plans for the Murphy Oil Corporation headquarters, as well as a profile of some of El Dorado’s best-known design professionals, from architects to artisans.
The EIG is made possible by the El Dorado Advertising & Promotion Commission and the El Dorado Economic Development Board.
