Lottery Commission releases statistics for July

Banner-News MAGNOLIA — Columbia County had a total of $240,447 in lottery ticket sales and $155,479 in prize winnings for July, according to statistics released this week by the Arkansas Scholarshi­p Lottery Commission.

A total of $30,630,210.50 in lottery tickets were sold statewide for the month of July, with prizes totaling $18,763,744 being awarded.

The six surroundin­g counties’ lottery ticket sales and winnings for July were:

•Hempstead County, $320,475.50 in ticket sales and prize winnings of $194,552.

• Lafayette County, $58,979.50 in ticket sales and prize winnings of $34,743.

• Miller County, $432,612.50 in ticket sales and prize winnings of $255,610.

• Nevada County, $186,778.50 in ticket sales and prize winnings of $115,318.

• Ouachita County, $423,651.50 in ticket sales and prize winnings of $266,205.

•Union County, $699,263 in ticket sales and prize winnings of $431,541.

According to Commission documents, there were 1,882 active retailers in Arkansas as of July 31. Topselling retailers in Columbia County for July included:

•Tobacco Station USA #1, 901 E. Main St., Magnolia, $9,912.25.

•Tobacco Superstore 85, 1100 E. Main St., Magnolia, $5,169.38.

•Dixie Mart #27, 1016 E. Main St., Magnolia, $5,142.63.

•Dixie Mart #28, 407 W. Main St., Magnolia, $5,126.

•Dixie Mart #23, 1 Warnock Springs Rd., Magnolia, $4,925.38.
