EL DORADO – The deadline for the 2016 Editorial Cartoon Contest has been extended to Sept. 30, according to Colleen Means at the South Arkansas Arts Center.

The contest is being sponsored by the arts center, the El Dorado News-Times and William P. Cook and Associates, PLLC.

Entries will be judged in two divisions – for adults and students in grades nine through 12 – and entry fees are $5 each. Cash prizes totaling $380 will be presented in several divisions, including $100 for Best of Show, $50 for first place in each division, $25 for second place in each division and $15 for third place in each division. The Editor’s Choice Award of $100 will be awarded by Ronnie Bell, general manager of the El Dorado News-Times.
