THURSDAY Delta Kappa Gamma plans March meeting

EL DORADO — Members of Delta Kappa Gamma will meet at 4:30 p.m. today, March 2, at the South Arkansas Arboretum, next to the old El Dorado High School. Guest speaker will be Barbie Luther, Union County Master Gardener. Hostesses will be Sylvia Thompson, Linda Hollenswor­th, Mary Evans and Melissa Greer.

• Marrable Hill Chapel Clothes Closet is open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the first Thursday of each month. Free clothing and household items are available. Directions: Turn left off old Strong Highway onto Marrable Hill Road; take the fourth right at Marrable Hill Chapel entrance.

• The El Dorado Lions Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month at Simmons Bank, second floor conference room.

The Newell Homemakers Extension Club will meet the first Thursday of each month 1:30 p.m. at the extension office.

FRIDAY Club 10 hosts Ronnie and Friends

American Legion Club 10 will feature Ronnie and Friends of Hot Springs, from 8 to midnight on Friday, March 3. Everyone over 21 invited. Come enjoy a smoke-free environmen­t.

Shelter Pets Project photograph­er exhibits work

Photograph­er Tammy Swarek of El Dorado, who, along with Tammy Michael of El Dorado, created the Shelter Pets Project, will be exhibiting her photos at the South Arkansas Arts Center Thursday through March 29. An artist’s reception will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday at the arts center, 110 E. Fifth St., El Dorado. The public is invited to attend.

RSVP dance features L&N Express

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program will hold its RSVP Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 3, in the Champagnol­le Landing Senior Center, 910 E. 4th St. in El Dorado. The dance is for ages 55 and older and will feature the music of L&N Express. Admission is $6 per person. No smoking, no alcohol.

• St. James Village Outreach Facility, 1308 E. Hillsboro, will give away clothing only each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Please place clothing only in blue containers in front of building. They do not accept furniture. SATURDAY Rehobeth Cemetery Associatio­n meets

The annual meeting of the Rehobeth Cemetery Associatio­n Inc. will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, at the Bible Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2103 Smackover Highway (Highway 7), El Dorado. Everyone with family members buried in the cemetery is urged to attend and participat­e.
