In the Churches
• Beulah Grove Baptist Church: The 114th church anniversary will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, at the church, 157 Union Road 283, Junction City. Guests will be the Rev. Calvin Carroll and members of the First Baptist Church of Smackover. Everyone is invited.
• Bouldware Temple Church of God in Christ: A celebration for the 48th church anniversary will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 1611 Detroit St., El Dorado. Special guests for the event will be Bishop Steven Paylor and members of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church family. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
• Christ Missionary Baptist Church: A “Repair the Roof” fundraising program will be held at 4 p.m. today, at the church, located at 1628 E. Cook St., El Dorado. The theme for the event is “Ask in the name of Jesus and He will do it” John 14:13

• Divine Grace Christian Ministries: A yard sale will be held at 7 a.m. and fish plates will be for sale at 11 a.m. today at the church, located at 1710 Junction City Road, El Dorado.
Ebenezer Baptist Church: The annual Women’s Conference will be held on Sunday. This year’s guest speaker will be Mary Rader Pierce from Crossett. She will be speaking and singing at the 11 a.m. worship service and then at the ladies’ luncheon to follow. All are welcome. The church is located at 3408 N. Wyatt Drive, El Dorado.
• First Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ: The Arkansas — Oklahoma Fellowship meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on March 11 at the church, located at 1401 Pershing Highway, Smackover. Guest speaker will be Pastor Dave Linder of Pearl, Mississippi.
• First Baptist Church of Smackover: An appreciation event for “Fruitful Praise” will be held at 5 p.m. on March 25, at the church, located at 404 MLK, Smackover. A reception will start at 5 p.m. and the musical program will start at 6 p.m.
• Freewill Baptist Church: The 31st appreciation program for Pastor McGhee will be held at 2:30 p.m. on March 12, at the church, located at 1320 E. Faulkner, El Dorado. Pastor Orlando Smith and members of Countryline Missionary Baptist Church will be guests. Lunch will be served and everyone is invited to attend.
• Green Grove Assembly of God Church: A Bobby Bowen and Kent Humphrey Concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Church on Philadelphia Road. Refreshments will be served after the service.
• Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church: A service honoring their pastor, the Rev. Felton Burgie and his family, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church. Special guests for the event will be the Rev. Billy Hunter and members of the Good Home Missionary Baptist Church of Louann. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
• New Beginning Church of God in Christ: A pastor’s aid program will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 804 S. College, El Dorado.
• New Eastside Baptist Church: A love of praise musical for Rance Ollison, will be held at 6 p.m. on March 11 at the church, located at 1316 Martin Luther King Blvd., El Dorado. Everyone is invited.
• St. James Baptist Church: A Christian Home Life Revival will be held at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at the church, located at 608 MLK Blvd., El Dorado. There will be a different guest pastor and church each night. Monday will have pastor Rory Green and Victory Baptist Church. Tuesday will be Pastor Enzo White and Beulah Grove Wesson. Wednesday will be Pastor Robert Cunningham and Christ Missionary Baptist Church.
• St. Mark United Methodist Church: A first Sunday breakfast will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 2010 W. Hillsboro, El Dorado. Guests are welcome. The church will also be holding four nights of singing at 5:30 March 19-22. Sunday will be Richard Wynn, Monday will be Rita Benton, Tuesday will be Amy Allen and Wednesday will be Amanda Stell.
• St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church: The annual church anniversary will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 5731 Moro Bay Highway, El Dorado. The theme will be “An old Wooden Church That’s Still Rock Solid” and the verse will be Matthew 16:18. Guest churches and pastors will include the Rev. Karal Hammock and St. Andrew African Methodist Episcopal Church in Huttig, Olive Light African Methodist Episcopal Church in Smackover, Lee’s Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Free Union African Methodist Episcopal Church of El Dorado, Free Hope African Methodist Episcopal Church, Pleasant Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church of Strong, St. Olive of African Methodist Episcopal Church of Lapile and Hampton Chapel and Palestine African Methodist Episcopal Church of Johnsville. Lunch will be served and the public is invited.
• Salvation Army Church: Evangelist, Lt. Stephanie Hargis, will be the guest preacher for the annual Women’s Sunday at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the chapel at the Salvation Army, 419 S. Madison, El Dorado. Lieutenants Bradley and Stephanie Hargis are the corps officers in Pine Bluff and have been there since June 2016. Before Pine Bluff, they had been stationed in Ponca City, Oklahoma since June 2013.

• Union Mission Baptist Church: A Family and Friends Day will be held at 2:30 p.m. on March 12 at the church, located at 1621 Short E. Hillsboro, El Dorado, where the Rev. Daniel Willis is pastor. Guest speaker for the event will be the Rev. Enzo White of Beulah Grove Baptist Church of Wesson. Emcee will be James Oliver.
