Notice of Passing

JOHN D. TRIMBLE John D. Trimble, 85, of El Dorado, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Services will be under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

MARION J. MAUNEY Services for Marion Joann Henley Mauney, 80, of Norphlet, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Norphlet United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Rehobeth Cemetery, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado.

BILLY C. OWENS Services for Billy Clifford Owens, 87, of Junction City, will be at 2 p.m. today at Three Creeks Baptist Church with Bro. Brandon Gurley officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Three Creeks Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

MAXINE E. McCORVEY Maxine Elizabeth McCorvey, 93, of Junction City, passed away, Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Timberlane

Health and Rehabilita­tion in El Dorado.

She was born March 23, 1924, to Sonn Morris and Annie Baker Massey in McHue.

She was a member of Scotland Presbyteri­an Church and was a homemaker. Maxine enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes. She loved her flowers, gardening and her church. She served as in elder in the church for many years. She also loved to sew and crochet hats for Samaritan’s Purse.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John William McCorvey Sr.; sister, Madeline Massey; nephews, Ricky Massey, and Jimmy McCorvey; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn McCorvey.

She is survived by her son, John William “Bill” McCorvey Jr., of Calion; nieces, Gloria Estes (Tim) of El Dorado, and Janis Lawson (Bill) of Hot Springs; nephew, Mike McCorvey (Belinda) of Smackover; several great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces; and great-great-nephews and will be greatly missed by many friends.

The family wishes to thank Timberlane Health and Rehabilita­tion for the wonderful care Maxine received.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Scotland Presbyteri­an Church with Bro. Pete Elliott officiatin­g, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
