Golf tournament, three-point shooting contest planned

EL DORADO — The L.C. And Hazel Ross Scholarshi­p Foundation will be hosting two special weekend events. Both events will be on April 14. A golf tournament will be held at Lion Park starting at 9 a.m.

This year’s golf tournament will be grouped by age. Flight one is 50 and under, flight two is 50 – 65 and flight three is 65 and older. The entry fee is a donation per player. The second event will be a co-ed three-point shooting contest at the El Dorado High School Arena beginning at 6 p.m. Each team will be composed of one man and one woman. The entry fee is $20 per team. The first 10 teams

to pay the entry fee will participat­e. Trophies will be awarded. For more informatio­n about the co-ed three-point team contest, contact Berry or Bobby Peterson at 870-3140274.

Following the threepoint contest will be hoop action and more family entertainm­ent. The Flawless Ballers – all former El Dorado High School Lady Wildcats – will play the young Lady Cats at 7 p.m. An 8:15 p.m. game will see The Survivors battling for bragging rights against the South West Flight. All basketball participan­ts are asked to make a donation towards the scholarshi­p fund.

Half-time entertainm­ent will be provided by the Junior Elk Herd No. 473 Steppers and the Southern Belles Dance Company. Concession­s will be available on site. Proceeds from the events will go to the L.C. And Hazel Ross Scholarshi­p Foundation.
