College & Community Job Fair

South Arkansas Community College will hold a College & Community Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, in the El Dorado Conference Center. Area businesses will be on hand so job applicants should dress to impress, bring resumes and come preapred. SouthArk students can register at collegecen­tral.com/southark. • St. James Village Outreach Facility, 1308 E. Hillsboro, will give away clothing only from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at noon for an open discussion at East Sixth and North Park Street.

Clothes Closet is open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the first Thursday of each month. Free clothing and household items are available. Directions: Turn left off old Strong Highway onto Marrable Hill Road; take the fourth right at Marrable Hill Chapel entrance.

DBA hosts customer appreciati­on lunch

The El Dorado Downtown Business Associatio­n will host a customer appreciati­on hot dog lunch giveaway from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, on the Union County Courthouse steps. The public is invited to enjoy food, fun and festivitie­s.

• Disabled American Veterans and Auxiliary will meet at 10 a.m. the second Saturday at Grace Bible Baptist Church, 1502 Champagnol­le. Anyone who is a disabled veteran is welcome to attend and join the activities.

• Narcotics Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the small house next door to College Avenue Church of Christ.
