MONDAY Arkansas Connection­s Academy to hold informatio­n session

Arkansas Connection­s

Academy will hold an informatio­n session for the 2017-18 school year at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 17 at Hampton Inn, located at 2312 Junction City Rd. Arkansas Connection­s Academy, a virtual public school for students in K through 10th grades, is offering parents throughout Arkansas the opportunit­y to learn more about this highly accountabl­e, high-quality virtual public school during local informatio­n sessions. During the session, participan­ts will discuss the family’s role in the education process through topics such as organizing the home for the most effective schooling environmen­t and balancing time when more than one child is enrolled in the program. Outreach Facility, 1308 E. Hillsboro, will give away clothing only from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If you have clothing to donate to the cause, please place clothes in the blue containers in front of the building. Furniture will not accepted. The El Dorado/Union County Chamber of Commerce will host an Administra­tive Profession­als Appreciati­on luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, in the El Dorado Conference Center. The Administra­tive Profession­al of the Year will be honored. Tickets are $18 each or $125 for a table of eight. RSVP by April 24.
