Students named to SAU’s spring 2017 Dean’s, President’s lists

MAGNOLIA — Southern Arkansas University announced the names of 402 students who earned a 3.5 or higher GPA for the spring 2017 semester and secured positions on the Dean’s List.

Students from this area include Anna Bolding of Norphlet, Hayden White of Strong, Miranda Bryan of Junction City, Keiandre Purifoy of Calion; Mary Bradshaw, Cordell McDonald, Haley Mullin, Katelyn Osborn of Smackover; Sarah Bullock, Jackson Burns, Justin Burns, Kathryn Carroll, Ashley Cates, Chikaodiri Chukwu, Kassey Cole, Amanda Easley, Lauren Estes, Tabitha Geist, Chardesia George, Lauren Gross, Frederick Jackson, Rajesh Laffey, Adam McInnis, Jordan McVay, Sarika Mohandas, Alexis Moore, Brennan Morgan, Noah Moses, Levi Nesbitt, Hanna Newton, Forest Pierce, Holly Roomsburg, Kaleb Short, Tyler Steward, Kaitlin Taylor, Dawn Tucker, Geoffrey Vaughn, Viviana Villegas, Pamela Ward, Russell Weldon and Garrhon Wheeler of El Dorado.

A total of 402 students were honored to this year’s Dean’s List, compared to 426 who qualified for the Dean’s List in the previous year and 333 in the spring of 2015.

Southern Arkansas University has announced the names of 295 students who earned a 4.0 GPA for the spring 2017 semester and a spot on the Southern Arkansas University President’s List.

Students from this area include Forrest Woods of Calion, Haley Barker of Junction City, Carrie Cupples of Norphlet; Aaron Brock, Keith Birchfield, Christopher Macry, Mary-Christa Rogers, Haley Corley, Spencer Stanton of Smackover; Autumn French, Hanna Smith, Ethan Jones, Jessica Langley, James Blann, Thomas Quarshie, John Schonefeld, Alma Stratton, Haylee Pepper, Christopher Smith, Brinkley Haney, Renee Jorgensen, Warren Gerrald, Timothy Reardon, Aziztitu Murugan and Wesley Price of El Dorado.

A total of 294 students were honored to this year’s President’s List, which is up from 225 students who qualified in the spring of 2016 and 272 in the spring of 2015.
