JAMES M. HOOPES James Morgan Hoopes, 807 Moore Ave., passed away at the age of 23 on July 11, 2017 at the St. Vincent Hospital Infirmary after his long, brave battle with a rare auto-immune disease.
He was born on March 9, 1994. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Jane Martin Hoopes of El Dorado, Ark; his fianc, Theresa Ann Greer of Lonoke, Ark; his sister,
Shelby Ann Hoopes-Tice of Springfield, Or; nieces Rubye Elizabeth

Jones, nephew James Alan Hoopes of Springfield, Or; his grandmother Addie Jane Martin of Panama City, Fl; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. He was proceeded in death by his father, Walter Alan Hoopes of Panama City, Fl; his grandmother Helen Louise McKenna Hoopes and his grandfather, Col. Rex Morgan Hoopes of Camp Springs, Md; and his grandfather, Paul K. Martin of Lawson, Ark.
James loved life, music, fishing, snakes, and most of all his dearest friends. He graduated Class of 2012 at El Dorado High School and attended school at South Arkansas Community College for Respiratory Therapy. James was a volunteer Junior Firefighter at the Faircrest Fire Station and a member of the Grace Baptist Bible Church in El Dorado. He was a business owner with his mother, Elizabeth, at Tootie’s Snow Cones. James never met a stranger and was quick with a smile even though he suffered. He was in Stage 5 renal failure but stayed hopeful by looking forward to a kidney transplant and a long life. He is loved and deeply missed, an inspiration to so many people that he met on his road of life.
Visitation is at 6:30 p.m. today, followed by a celebration of his life at 7:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 Parnell Road, El Dorado Arkansas 71730. Cremation services provided by Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. Fly High “Hoopesy.”.
