Reminder of Services

DOUG CUNNINGHAM Visitation for Doug Cunningham, 63, of El Dorado, will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Directors.

FLOYD R. EVERETTE Services for Floyd “Peanut” Ray Everette, 66, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at the Marion Baptist Church in Marion, Louisiana, with the Rev. Ronnie Traylor, pastor, and the Rev. Linzie Riley officiating.

Interment will follow at the Springhill Church Cemetery in Oakland, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Farmerville, Louisiana.

VAN MURRAY

Van Murray, 74, of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

He was born June 19, 1943, to Fred Hudson and Princie Mae Byrnside Murray in Torrance, California.

He worked as an operator for BP Amoco in Texas City, Texas for 30 years, was a member of the Local 4-449, and enjoyed restoring Willie Jeeps. After retirement, he and his wife traveled the United States.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Nanette Bussey, and Sharon Diane Griffith; and his wife, Sammie Bradley Murray.

Survivors include his son, Shawn Murray (Rochelle) of League City, Texas; daughter, Raechell Page (Craig) of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Glenda Woolsey (Marion) of El Dorado; and seven grandchildren, Jaxon, Hudson, Kearson, Madison Murray, Emilie, Joseph, and Erin Page.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Directors.
