CURTIS PARKER Curtis Parker, 70, of Urbana, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 at the John R.Williamson Hospice House.

ROBERT BROCK Services for Deacon Robert “Burl” Brock, 71, a native of Spearsvill­e, Louisiana, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Spearsvill­e, with the Rev. James Douglas, pastor, and the Rev. David Wilson officiatin­g.

Interment will follow at the Sweet Union Church Cemetery in Spearsvill­e.

Vistation will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel and family hour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Sweet Union Baptist Church in Spearsvill­e.

EDWARD L. HLAVATY

Lt. Col. Edward L. Hlavaty, retired United States Air Force pilot, took his final flight on Aug. 5, 2017 at the age of 87.

He was born July 19, 1930 in Crete, Nebraska and was a resident of Lillie, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, Louisiana.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Glory Ministries in Junction City. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Lillie, with full military honors.

MAMIE J. NORMAN Mamie Jane Norman, 93, of Camden, passed away on Tuesday Aug. 8, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents,

James and Ireanner Craig.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her son,

Dennis Norman of Camden; daughter, Mamie Williams of Strong; 16 grandchild­ren; 34 great-grandchild­ren; and 12 great-great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 12, 2017 at Starlight COGIC in Strong, with the Rev. Kenneth Loggins officiatin­g. Interment will be held in Batts Chapel Cemetery in Huttig.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at Reddick Funeral Home in Camden.

Reddick Funeral Home in Camden is in charge of the arrangemen­ts.

RAYMOND TAYLOR Raymond Taylor, 42, of Spearsvill­e, Louisiana, passed away, Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017.

He was born

Feb. 17, 1975, to Bennie

Taylor Sr. and Barbara Van

Hook Taylor in Monroe, Louisiana. He worked in constructi­on and was of the

Church of Christ faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his two brothers, Keith Taylor of Spearsvill­e, and Bennie Taylor Jr. of El Dorado; sister, Nena Snow (Albert) of Fordyce; two daughters, Audrey Miller, and Bailey Thomas; one grandson, John Luke Miller; two nieces, Katie Simpson (Kenneth), and Wendy Taylor; and two nephews, Clay Hendricks and Jake Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsvill­e. Cremation services were entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
