ANNIE T. MILLER

Annie Tubbs Miller passed to her heavenly home on Nov. 24, 2017 in Mesquite, Texas, at the age of 97.

She was born Jan. 5,

1920, in Vivian, Louisiana, to Grace and Richard Dee

Tubbs, who preceded her in death.

Also, those who are welcoming her in heaven are sister, Laura Dee

Tubbs and Iris Samantha Hughes; a brother, Odus

Cullen Tubbs; husband and father of her children, Doyle Guy Lucky and husband, Billy Smith Miller; and baby grandson, William Thad Lambeth. Annie also outlived several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Annie has left behind the following to cherish her memory, daughters, Giane Lucky-Kozy (John), Sue Janet Beck (Wayne), JoDe Coward (James); seven grandchildren, Todd Lambeth, Tessie Lambeth-Chavez, Taffy Lynn Vickers, Robin Hughes (Michael), Kristie Hudson (Kirk), Jill Ray, and James Coward III; 16 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Known as “Little Annie,” she grew up as the youngest of her family. She spent her young years in East Texas, El Dorado, and Shreveport, Louisiana. After she married Bill Miller, they enjoyed a wonderful relationship sharing time with a group of friends in Shreveport at dances, meeting for breakfast and traveling. She retired from the business office at Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, then moved back to El Dorado to be near her daughters, Sue and JoDe. In 2011, she moved to Hot Springs Village, where both Giane and JoDe had relocated. For the last 2 1/2 years she had lived with her caregiver/daughter, Giane in Hot Springs Village after dementia had began it’s move.

Our Mother was a very special, loving, witty and fun person. She was always ready to go and loved spending time with her family, particularly her three daughters. We are so blessed to have had our Mother with us for these many years. Her earthly life ended spending time with family during Thanksgiving in Texas. Then on the day after late in the evening, she left us with no evidence of pain or suffering. Her little heart just stopped and her angel was there to carry her home.

No services are planned at this time. Celebrations are in heaven.
