Eckart, Siemann wed

Katherine Rose Eckart, of Leneya, Kansas and Christophe­r Michael Siemann, of Houston, were united in holy matrimony on July 1, 2017, by father David Scheidler, C.S.C., at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame, Indiana.

The bride is the daughter of John and Laurie Eckart of El Dorado. She attended El Dorado High School, where she graduated in 2011. She continued her education at the University of Notre Dame, where she received her bachelor's of science engineerin­g degree in 2015. She works at Pariveda Solutions as a computer software engineer in Houston.

The groom is the son of Michael and Georgia Siemann of Naperville, Illinois. He graduated in 2011 from the Benet Academy in Lisle, Illinois. He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he received his bachelor's of arts degree in theology in 2015. He then received his master's of arts in theology in 2017. He is currently employed as a teacher at Strake Jesuit College Preparator­y in Houston.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, John Eckart.

She was attended by her matron of honor, Mellia Putman, sister of the bride. Her bridesmaid­s were her sister-in-law, Amanda Siemann, cousin of the bride, Emily Coats and friends of the bride, Lynne Bauman, Tera Joyce, Margaret Prakel, Amy Purdy, Hannah Allen and Samantha Feulner.

The groom was attended by his best man and cousin, Eric Siemann. His groomsmen were his brother-in-law, Stephen Eckart and his friends, Brett Balasky, Peter Steiner, Geoffrey Burdell, Joseph Fredrickso­n, Matthew Giblin, Mookie Manalili and Brett Bush.

Flower girls were Olivia and Grace Baltz, cousins of the bride and Kenzie Person, cousin of the groom. The ring bearers were Oliver Coats, Maddox Thompson, Elliot Peterson and Leo Pranger, all cousins of the bride.

Ushers were friends of the groom, Daniel Brennan, Kyle Olifirowic­z, Matthew Krasno and Zachary Silagi.

Vocalists were Michele Warner and Elizabeth Curtin. Nuptial music was provided by Notre Dame Folk Choir under the direction of Steven Warner and Karen Schneider-Kinner.

Lectors where the godmother of the groom, Lindsay Person, and the godfather of the bride, Alex Baltz. Offertory procession was led by the godmother to the bride, Janet Pranger, and godfather to the groom, Steve Siemann.

Dinner and dancing followed the service at Morris Inn in Notre Dame.

Rehearsal dinner was hosted by Micheal and Georgia Siemann on June 30 at the Legends at Notre Dame.

The couple honeymoone­d in Hawaii before settling into their home in Houston.
