Parkers Chapel FBLA students win big at district conference
PINE BLUFF — Twenty-five members of Parkers Chapel Future Business Leaders of America recently attended the FBLA District III Conference in Pine Bluff.
They competed in a broad range of business and career-related areas, testing their business knowledge and skills. First place winners were Hannah Barbaree in Job Interview, Josh Milam in Business Calculations, Dawson Goodwin and Hunter Palculict in Global Business; Stinson Battisto, Sadie Goss, Emily Housdan, Ali Looney and Kenlee McAuliffe in Parliamentary Procedure.
Shawn Barnes placed second in Hospitality Management. Placing third were Ciara Pharr in Agribusiness and Halley Evers in Introduction to Business Procedures.
Fourth place winners were Josh Arrington in Business Communications, Canon Morgan in Sports & Entertainment Management and Cheyenne Barnes in Word Processing.
Natalie Hanry and Anna Grace Langston placed fifth in Business Ethics.
Sixth place winners were Hope Wooten in Cyber Security, Brendan Winchester in Healthcare Administration, Brooklyn Turberville in Journalism.
The 2017-2018 Parkers Chapel FBLA officers are president Sadie Goss, vice president Natalie Hanry, secretary Charleston Baker and treasurer Brendan Winchester. Goss and Baker also hold the treasurer and parliamentarian district offices, respectively.
