Wildcats finish fourth in conference track meet

PEARCY - Devunte Kidd won the long jump Friday and led El Dorado's boys to fourth place in the 6A West Track Meet. The Wildcats scored 75.50 points to finish behind Texarkana (164.50), Lake Hamilton (161) and Benton (102) and ahead of Russellvil­le (71), Greenwood (43), Siloam Springs (34) and Sheridan (10).

Behind Breya Clark, the Lady Wildcats placed seventh in the girls division.

Kidd leaped 22-02 to win the boys long jump. He also finished sixth in the 100.

El Dorado's Chris Newton finished third in the triple jump, fourth in the 110 hurdles, fifth in the high jump and sixth in the 300 hurdles. Neeko Davis finished third in the high jump and fifth in the 400.

Gavin Heustis placed third in the discus. Payton Perry finished fourth in the 300 hurdles. Caleb Scott was fifth in the long jump. Wanya Archie was fifth in the discus. Shun Levingston was sixth in the 200.

For the girls, Clark won the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.66. She was second in the 100, third in the high jump, third in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump. LaDiamond Maker finished fourth in the high jump, fifth in the 100 and fifth in the 200.

The Lady Wildcats scored 57.50 points. Benton won the girls title with 125 followed by Sheridan (103), Lake Hamilton (101), Russellvil­le (94.5), Texarkana (86) and Siloam Springs (64).
