To the Editor:

#WalkAway is a new political movement that seems to be gaining momentum. This movement is for folks that have traditionally supported the Democrats over the years for various reasons and now find themselves rejecting the party.

Black voters, for instance, a historical bloc vote for Democrats, have begun to shift their voting patterns. Many African-Americans are realizing 1) Democrats have controlled all the major failing cities for decades, and little has been done to improve the possibility of a better quality of life for the impoverished in these cities, too often primarily black citizens. 2) Trump’s two year term so far has improved the unemployment rate for blacks and Hispanics to all time lows. No Democrat can claim any credit for any of that.

Many voters recently noticed the offensive way the Democrat leadership behaved towards Supreme Court Justice, Brett Kavanaugh. The party leaders condemned him before any facts were forthcoming. The mass media—merely the propaganda wing of the Democrat party—supported the Democrats. Who would want to be a member of a party that offers little but negative, hateful lies and character assassination as weapons to destroy people who think differently?

Abortion is a sacrament to Democrats, and they revere Roe v. Wade more than life itself. (Pun intended!) A look into the statistics shows that major numbers of black babies alone are killed by the “medical staffs” at Planned Parenthood annually. Margaret Sanger, its founder and an avowed racist, desired such an outcome. Who, when facts are considered, could be aligned with such a party?

The Democrat party has also turned substantially to the far left. One third of millenials think the country needs to be socialist or communist. One wonders how many of them have even read Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn with his warnings of Communism? These moves to the far left should frighten anyone who understands what these systems represent.

I don’t care how long you have been a Democrat, I am pleading with you to look at the facts and #WalkAway. Run, if you can.
