El Do­rado Swim Team re­turns to ac­tion

CON­WAY - El Do­rado’s swim teams com­peted in the Con­way In­vi­ta­tional last week. The Wild­cats placed fifth in the boys divi­sion out of 19 teams.

Hud­son McDiarmid led the way, tak­ing first place in the 100 freestyle.

Con­way won the ti­tle with 709 points fol­lowed by Bryant (230), Batesville (198), Mag­no­lia (184), El Do­rado (161), Moun­tain Home (130), Rus­sel­lville (106), Lamar (92), Rogers (87), Syl­van Hills (77), Her­itage (71), Pu­laski Academy (64), Ben­tonville (41), Ben­tonville West (40), Hot Springs (29), Pottsville (20), Cam­den Fairview (13), Vilo­nia (10) and Hot Springs Lake­side (3).

McDiarmid won the 100 freestyle in a time of 52.75. El Do­rado’s Pay­ton Allman was sixth in the event. Allman touched third in the 50 freestyle.

The Lady Wild­cats placed sev­enth out of 12 teams.

Lorin Utsch fin­ished sec­ond in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.16. Con­way’s Emily Hol­man won the event with a time of 26.10.

El Do­rado’s Abby Thomp­son placed sev­enth in the 100 freestyle.

Con­way won the girls ti­tle with 494 points. Bryant was sec­ond with 284 fol­lowed by Moun­tain Home (253), Mount St. Mary’s (211), Rus­sel­lville (192), Rogers (149), El Do­rado (133), Mag­no­lia (111), Syl­van Hills (89), Batesville (55), Pu­laski Academy (46) and Vilo­nia (38).
