LOLA J. MOORE

Funeral service for Lola J. Moore, age 65, of El Dorado will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in El Dorado. Burial will follow immediatel­y at St. John Cemetery, Lillie, Louisiana. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. The service is entrusted to Andrews Funeral Home.

Obituaries JOYCE M. BROWN

Joyce Marie Brown, 70, of Conway formerly of El Dorado, passed away on February 10, 2018 at Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 13, 1948 in Lawrencebu­rg, TN to Arthur and Goldie Marie Gray. Joyce worked as a caregiver at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home and was the owner of multiple Thrift Stores here in El Dorado. Before moving to Conway she was a member of Victory Church and loved her grandbabie­s.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donnie Ray Brown; son, Nathan Brown; and brother, Bobby Gene Gray.

Survivors include her sons, Matthew L. Brown (Angie), Michael Brown (Bridgett) and Mark Brown (Kim); grandchild­ren, Ashley Lupton, Dakota McDonald, Justin McDonald, Matthew John Ray Brown, Brianna Lewis, Shelby Brown, Christophe­r Brown, Josh Brown, Jordan Brown, Mkynli Brown, Garrett Brown, Paisley Brown, Blake Allen, Cody Brown, Tara Massey, Zach Brown, Logan Brown, and Colton Brown; 17 great grandchild­ren; siblings, Harold Gray, Dorothy Goley, Arthur Gray, James Gray, Danny Gray, and Imogene Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services conducted by Sean Lupont will be held at 2:00 PM at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM at Salem Cemetery. Online condolence­s at www.perrysfune­ralchapels.com.

WILLIAM H. DAVIS

William Harvey Davis, a longtime resident of Baker, Louisiana passed away February 10, 2019. He was born in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana on September 2, 1924. Harvey was a believer in Jesus Christ, a beloved father, grandfathe­r, greatgrand­father, great great-grandfathe­r, husband, brother, friend, and patriot. He was a World War II veteran, a participan­t in the D-Day invasion landing on Omaha Beach. He was twice wounded and a Purple Heart recipient. Harvey was proud of his opportunit­y to serve our country. He was a retired supervisor for Allied Chemical. With a love of travel, he spent years seeing the country with his wife and family. In his younger years, Harvey was known as a man who could fix almost anything (cars, carpentry, appliances etc.). In his latter years, as his strength failed, he was still willing to tell you how to fix almost anything. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at First Baptist Church of Baker, 3213 Groom Rd, Baker, LA 70714, Baker, Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Dewey Davis and Reverend Jay Avance will officiate the service. The graveside service and burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Harvey is survived by his children, Therese Landry (Ted), Bill Davis (Peggy), Shelia Brister (Marshall), Dewey Davis (Patty); 10 grandchild­ren, Bo Landry (Stacy), Tracy Miller (Christian), Timothy Davis (Jenna), Troy Murphy (Elizabeth), Dixie Daigle (Craig), Justin Brister (Tiffany), Jacob Davis (Holly), Aimee Stablier (Jonathan), Megan Kirkindoll (Grayson), and Ashlyn Davis; 21 great grandchild­ren; 1 great great-grandchild; sister; Othean Holder; and brother, Doyle Davis (Nancy). Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Ida Davis; his wife of 74 years, Frances Evelyn Janway Davis; his brother, Marvin Davis; and great-grandson, Noah Daigle. The family wishes to thank the staff and friends of Oakwood Village for their care and the compassion­ate health team at Lane Regional hospital for their service.

TROY W. DICKSON

Troy Wayne Dickson, 51, of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019.

Troy was born January 13, 1968 to David Dickson and Cecelia Williams Smith. He was selfemploy­ed and was the owner of Your Carpet Cleaner until he retired.

Preceding him in death is his mother, Cecelia Williams Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Hillary Butler (Matthew) and Haley Dickson; his father, David Dickson (Jane); a brother, Jeff Dickson; and two grandchild­ren, Haven Butler and Emmett Lee.

A visitation with family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cremation services are entrusted to the care of Young’s Funeral Directors.

BETTY J. THOMPSON

Betty Jean Thompson, of Hampton was born on July 12, 1934 to the late Oscar & Viola Warren in Kilgore, Texas. Betty married the love of her life, Tommy Mitchell on January 7, 1954 in Camden, AR. Betty worked most of her life in Camden and Hampton; retiring from the Calhoun County Judge’s office in December 2016.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hampton. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. Betty enjoyed reading, serving in her community; spending time with her family, traveling with friends, shopping and attending her great grandchild­ren’s ball games.

Betty passed away February 7, 2019, at The Hospice of East Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton Arkansas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Hampton. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery under the direction of Benton Funeral Home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tommy Mitchell, husband Billy James Thompson and her brother Charles Warren.

She is survived by daughters, Donna Thomason (Kelley) of Conroe, Texas, Denise Cruz (Juan) of Tyler, Texas, three grandchild­ren Scott Thomason (Alicia), Tandi Dean (Jack), Jonathan Cruz, five great grandchild­ren, Savannah Thomason, Tyler Dean, Brayden Sykes, Hayden Dean, Brooklyn Cruz, one great great grandson, Keyton Butler and a host of devoted friends.
