Union County Community Foundation to begin accepting scholarship applications
Union County Community Foundation (UCCF) will begin accepting scholarship applications for higher education from area high school seniors online at its website www.uccfar.org on Wednesday, February 20th. The last day to submit an application for a scholarship is Sunday, March 31st.
This will be our fourth year accepting online applications and we continue to receive positive feedback from students, parents and educators. Students should access our website www.uccfar.org, click on scholarships, and follow the directions listed to apply for a scholarship.
UCCF has under its umbrella scholarships that are available to all Union county school students, but the majority of scholarships are limited to a specific school for a specific purpose. Applicants need to carefully read over the criteria for each scholarship. Reading over the scholarship criteria will save students from spending time applying for scholarships that they aren’t eligible to receive. We encourage all applicants to take the time to carefully read the scholarship criteria.
In addition to scholarships for local high school seniors, UCCF has scholarships for post-graduate students and students currently attending colleges. The UCCF website has information on when and how to apply for post-graduate scholarships as well.
Union County Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that donors use to establish scholarship and other philanthropic funds to benefit local students and the community-at-large. Individuals interested in learning more about UCCF and how it works to assist donors in achieving their charitable goals, and how grants and scholarships are awarded to individuals and nonprofit agencies should visit the UCCF website at www.uccfar.org.
