BOBBY JOE SMITH
Bobby Joe Smith, 83 of Spearsville, LA passed away Saturday, August 3,2019 in Junction City, AR.
Bobby was born February 20,
1936 in Spearsville, LA to the union of Louie Smith and Mildred Dettenheim Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 61 years,
Joan Smith.
Bobby was a former poultry farmer and electrician and a was a member of the First Baptist
Church in Spearsville, LA. He loved music and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his daughter, Yvonne Montgomery and fiancé Terry Cook; his son, Brad Smith and wife Michelle; four grandchildren: Scott Whitehead, Hayden Smith, William Smith, and Jack Smith; one great grandson, Devin Whitehead; one great great grandson, Gavin Whitehead; and his K-9 companion, Mike.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City, AR.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA with Rev. James Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City, AR.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to St. Jude’s.
