JAMES C. GRIFFITH
James C. Griffith age 90 of El Dorado passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home in El Dorado. James was born on August 6, 1929 in Little Rock, AR to the late Catherine
Inez Deckelman Griffith and
Leonard Orr Griffith. He was a
U.S. Army veteran, serving his country honorably during the
Korean Conflict. James was an Elder and a longtime member of St. Andrews Cumberland
Presbyterian Church and was a retired baker for Colonial Baker, having served 39 years before his retirement.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Catherine Varnell Griffith and by one sister, Bobbye
Cathey.
Survivors include; two sons, James M. Griffith of Conway, and David R. Griffith of El Dorado; one daughter, Connie Edwards of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, Hayley Loecker and husband Ron of Redington Beach, FL, Heath Edwards of Conway, Sarah Griffith of Austin, AR, Allen Griffith of Conway, and Brandon Brewster of El Dorado; four great grandchildren, Cheyenne Griffith, Kaiden Griffith, James Loecker and Catherine Loecker; one brother, Earl Griffith of Texas.
Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the family will keep all visitation and services private for immediate family only.
A private burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
