JESSE KEITH HAYS
Mr. Jesse Keith Hays died unexpectedly in Oak Ridge Health & Rehab on Monday, March 23, 2020, in El Dorado, Arkansas at the age of 74.
Jesse was born on January 17, 1946 in Calion, AR. He graduated from Norphlet High School in 1965. Jesse married Donna Baxter on May 21, 1967 at the Central Church of the Nazarene in El Dorado Arkansas. Jesse began working as a welder and later worked as an engineer with ConAgra and Swift Corporations. Jesse also worked for The Systems Group, American Steel Company, and Big South Machine Shop. Over 50 years, Jesse and Donna welcomed two sons into their home and set about teaching them a love for the Lord. Jesse’s children remember him as a kind, thoughtful, and giving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Jesse was a witty individual who loved the Lord, and who was passionate about his family. He was an active, and dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Jesse is survived by his wife Donna Hays, his sons Chad Hays (Mallory) and his wife of Southaven MS, Brad Hays (April) of Spearsville, LA, sisters Zette Caudle of Conway AR and Mary Meadows (Mike) of El Dorado, AR. His grandchildren Mallorie Hays Kemp (Luke) of Houston, TX, Laney Hays of Monroe, LA, Oakley, Alyssa & Ady Hubbard of El Dorado, AR, Brody Hays of Smackover ,AR, Gabriel Hardee, Lily & John Patrick Coleman of Spearsville, LA, JayLynn, Merida, & Iris Hays of Southaven, MS, great-granddaughter Elliot Kemp of Houston, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandnieces and grandnephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Guy and Retha Hays, his brothers Charles Hays, J.O. Hays and Guy Hays.
No funeral services are scheduled at this time due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A memorial celebration will be planned when family and friends can safely gather. Services under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.
