LINDA RUTH STURDIVANT KNOX
Linda Ruth Sturdivant Knox, 71, of Huttig, departed this life on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at her home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born on October 19, 1948 in Bastrop, LA; Linda was the daughter of Frank Sturdivant, Jr. and Norma Jean Norris Sturdivant.
She was an active member of New London Baptist Church. Linda thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. She retired from Area Health Education Center (AHEC) in Administration after 22 years. Linda’s primary job was being a mother to her four boys and a Nana to her seven grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her father. Survivors are her husband, Glenn, of 52 years; four children, Chris Knox (Amy), Alan Knox (Lisa), Jon Knox (Jessica) and Keith Knox; seven grandchildren, Holly, Owen, Julia, Elizabeth, Sara, Molly and Micah; three step-grandchildren; her mother, Norma; three siblings, Randall Sturdivant, Ronnie Sturdivant and Renee Orr. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, other in-laws, family and friends.
In keeping with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations regarding public gatherings there will be no public visitation or services at this time. A private family graveside at Norris Cemetery with Bro. Terry Smith officiating will be held under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
