Singin’ in the Rain stream starts tonight

The South Arkansas Arts Center will offer an online streaming performanc­e of its 2018 production of “Singin’ in the Rain” starting tonight. The stream performanc­e is being held in lieu of SAAC’s traditiona­l spring play, which was called off this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The musical will be available for three screenings: tonight and Saturday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 18 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are available online, and tickethold­ers will be provided a direct link to view the streamed performanc­e. Individual tickets are available for $5, and “pod party” tickets, designed for multiple viewers of the same screen, are available for $20.

Tab Benoit tickets on sale to public

Tickets for the Tab Benoit concert produced by the Murphy Arts District and Murphy USA will go on sale to the public today at 10 a.m. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 26 at the First Financial Music Hall.

Tickets for the general public cost $5. There will be no admission cost to all first responders and health care workers that show I.D. at the entrance.

Post-COVID stress meeting April 23

Hudson Memorial Nursing Home is sponsoring a post-COVID stress meeting. The first meeting is scheduled for April 23 at 6 p.m., at the College Avenue Church of Christ Annex Building, 1817 N. College Ave. Candy Gwinn, APN, will be speaking about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Refreshmen­ts will be served.

Parks commission to meet April 27

The El Dorado Parks & Playground Commission will meet on Tuesday, April 27 from noon to 2 p.m. They will discuss a funding request to the El Dorado Works Board. for park improvemen­ts
