REMINDER OF SERVICE MIKE TUCKER
Mike Tucker, age 43, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at UAMS in Little Rock.
Mike was born on August 9, 1978 in El Dorado, Arkansas; he was the son of Jerry and Betty Lawrence Tucker. He worked in the parts department of Tucker’s Truck and was a member of the First Christian Church. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry and Rachel Tucker and Henry and Frances Marion Lawrence.
Survivors are his mother Betty Tucker; father Jerry Tucker (Shirley); brother Jeff Tucker (Jenna), a niece Rachel Tucker, nephews Jacob and Joseph Tucker all of El Dorado; half sister Linda Hansen of Panama City, FL, step sister Kerri Polk of Norphlet, step brother Scott Adcock of Magnolia.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm at Young’s Funeral Directors.
Graveside services at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens will be at 11am, Wednesday, September 22, 2021 with Rev. Donny Hymer and Rev. Bill Odom officiating.

OBITUARIES PERRY JEAN GATHRIGHT
Perry Jean Gathright, age 93, of Huttig, Arkansas passed away peacefully on September 18, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Gathright was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on August 7, 1928. She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a bachelor’s degree in education. She taught in the Huttig Public Schools for 36 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Huttig where she served as church pianist and Sunday School teacher.
Preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Perry Goodwin and Moland George Goodwin; brother, Arthur George Goodwin; and sisters, Caroline Sobczak and Rosemary Ellen.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, Paul D. Gathright; daughters, Kathy Nelson (Billy) and Cynthia Gathright; grandchildren, Nate Nelson (Anna) and Sam Nelson (Sarah); great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Noah, Spencer, Harper, Isla and Paul Davis Nelson; and brother, Moland George “Buddy” Goodwin.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Young’s Funeral Directors.
A private graveside service will be held under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Robert D. Deeds, age 91, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. Robert was born to Frank and Violet Deeds of Grand Isle, Nebraska on July 2, 1930.
Robert is a veteran of the Korean War, where he earned several medals, including the Silver Star, serving from 1948 to 1952; his last rank in the Marines was Sergeant. His unit assignments included MARFORPAC Fwd Guam, Marine Corps Forces , Pacific; USS Pickaway; G Company (Bloody George) 3rd Btn, 5th Marine Regiment (3/5); Shumaker Naval Ammunition Depot; and Drill Instructors School, MCRD Parris Island, SC. Combat and non-combat operations included Battle of Pusan Perimeter, Inchon Landing/ Operation Chromite, Second Battle of Seoul, Battle of Chosin Reservoir ( Battle of Changjin) / Task Force Drysdale, CCF Intervention/Evacuation of Hungnam, Pohang Guerrilla Hunt and the CCF Spring Offensive.
In his later years, Mr. Deeds had a great appreciation for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed gardening and sitting on his porch, overlooking the Ouachita River.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Violet Deeds; siblings Lloyd Deeds, Henry Deeds, Marion Deeds, Janice Callan, Carol Karash, Dorothy Brown, Shirley Buehrer and grandson Jordan Frisby.
Mr. Deeds is survived by three children Sam Deeds (Cindy), Jake Deeds (Janet) and Shannon Frisby (Eric), and his brother Roger Deeds (Beverly). He also leaves behind grandchildren, Bobby Deeds (Tasha), Kayla Martindale (Evan), Candace Cates (Cole), Drake Frisby (Alejandra) and Kimberly Shirey (Chris) as well as great -grandchildren Cameron Robinson, Reid Cates, Gracie Cates and Alaina Shirey.
Graveside services by Young’s Funeral Directors will be at 10 am, Thursday, September 23, 2021 with James Frisby officiating at Oak Grove Cemetery on Pigeon Hill Landing Road, Strong, AR.
