REMINDERS OF SERVICE LINDELL GREGGORY (GREGG) BUCHANAN

Lindell Greggory (Gregg) Buchanan, 74, of El Dorado, passed away, Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to LifeTouch Hospice or Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. today at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Paul Barnard officiatin­g. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

ANGELA “ANGIE” SUE COLLINS

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM today at Wyatt Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Thomas officiatin­g followed by Interment at Wyatt Parnell Cemetery. Masks are encouraged.

Herbert Harbour, 92 of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. tonight at Young’s. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, at East Main Baptist Church with Dr. Benjy McCann officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

OBITUARIES LYNTEE “TEE” CURLEY SR.

Mr. Lyntee “Tee” Curley Sr., 81, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away at 5:37 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Advocate at Home Hospice. Lyntee, affectiona­tely known as “Tee,” was born on December 24, 1939, in Calion, Arkansas, to John Henry and Lula Curley. Lyntee married Ruby Sue Curley. Tee loved to fish, barbeque food on the grill, and spend time with his family, all his favorite pastimes. Tee will be greatly missed by all.

Tee is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruby, one son Tyrone, a grandson, and many brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted children: Lyntee Jr. (Marie), Ernest (Veronica), Andre, Mike, Terrell, Frances, and Latrina. Sister Flora Williams and Sister-in-law Patty, whom he cared for significan­tly and talked to all the time. A host of grand, great, and great-great-grandchild­ren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

CAROLYN MILLER DELK CHAMPION

Graveside services for Mrs. Carolyn Miller Delk Champion, 86, formerly of Luling, Louisiana, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado, Arkansas. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.

Mrs. Champion went to be with her Lord on September 21, 2021, at her home in Cushing, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 9, 1935, in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Carl P. and Versa Lee (Jackson) Miller. She was raised in El Dorado, graduating from El Dorado High School in 1953, and later spent most of her life in Luling, Louisiana before moving to Cushing, Texas in the spring of 2020. Mrs. Champion was a homemaker and also held the position of Financial Secretary for First Baptist Church in Luling, Louisiana. She was a charter member of the church and served as church organist for over 55 years. Carolyn also served as a secretary for Union Carbide Chemical Plant.

Carolyn enjoyed doting on her family and traveling.

She was a master seamstress who loved to cross stitch and made the best banana pudding in the world. Mrs. Champion was without a doubt a loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r, and friend to all. Most importantl­y, she cherished her faith and demonstrat­ed it. She had the patience of a saint and was a true woman of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Edward Kenneth Delk; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Borne Delk; and son-in-law, Quentin Sterling Burnett.

Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Ross L. Champion. She was the loving mother to Stephan Louis Delk and Amy Delk Burnett. Her grandchild­ren include Jennifer Delk Lambert and husband Ched and their children Drake Lambert, Dior Lambert, and Drycen Lambert; Hollie Delk Mule’ and husband Dustin and their children Hunter Mule’ and Hayden Mule’; Kimberly Wiginton Gamboa and husband Joshua and their daughter Makayla Jo Gamboa; and Michael Clay Wiginton. In addition to her own children and grandchild­ren, Mrs. Champion is survived by Ross’ children, Marcia Champion Newton and husband Jesse, Amy Champion Ivanhoe and husband Lee, Theresa Champion Discavage and husband Tom, and Lisa Champion Wright and husband Patrick, along with their families; as well as a host of cousins, other family, and many friends.

DOUGLAS “DOUG” WAYNE DICKENS

Douglas “Doug” Wayne Dickens, 57, of El Dorado passed away on September 21, 2021. He was born on September 27, 1963 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Lonnie and Eva Mae Ornsbey Dickens. Doug loved to hunt and fish in his spare time. He was truly one of a kind and had a passion for Classic Rock and Classic Country. Doug was also an avid Arkansas Razorbacks Fan.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Georgeanna Dickens; and brother, Mike Dickens. Survivors include his son, Bill Henry Dickens (Jessica); daughter, Sheila Guthrie (Don); grandchild­ren, Paige Amos, Braden Dickens, Jaxson Dickens, and Noah Guthrie (Olivia); great-grandchild­ren, Ian Guthrie and Elainea Guthrie; mother-in-law, Ruby Phillips; niece, Ti Loyd and best friend, Jerry Murph.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels. A Private Memorial Graveside will be held at a later date.

FRANCES SMEAD (STURGES) SAUNDERS

Frances Smead (Sturges) Saunders was born on May 16, 1946, to the late Theodore Roosevelt (T.R.) and Ethel (Carey) Sturges in Mt. Holly, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister (Betty), and one nephew, (Keith) Utsey.

She leaves to cherish precious memories: 2 daughters, Latonya (Lockhart) White and Alta (Saunders) Woodson (Thomas), nine grandchild­ren Marquita Green (Jason), Samuel White, Miesha White, Shuka White, Kierra White, Essenchal White, Maia Woodson, Thomas Woodson IV, and Devon Woodson, and 11 great-grandchild­ren. One sister Linda Wilson of north Little Rock, Arkansas, one brother Jacques (Wanda) Sturges of Mt. Holly, Arkansas. One Uncle Bobby (Jean) Carey of Little Rock, Arkansas. One Aunt Mildred Miller of Detroit, Michigan, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special friends: Helene Crayton, Mildred Murray, and Jeanette Elliot.
