Ziggi’s Coffee location under construction
A location of the Colorado-based coffee company Ziggi’s Coffee is currently under construction on Timberlane Road in El Dorado and should open, according to company communications specialist Ashley Miller, this summer.
The store will be locally-owned, according to Miller.
“Ziggi’s is a franchise company, so aside from eight corporate locations, the locations are all owned by local franchise owners. This is the first location opening in Arkansas by local franchise owners, Harvinder Dod and Mihir Bedi. This is the only planned Ziggi’s in Arkansas at the moment, but this company is expanding exponentially nationwide,” Miller said in an email to the News-Times.
She continued with additional information about Dod and Bedi.
“Dod and Bedi are local business owners that have lived in El Dorado for over 10 years. During the pandemic, they realized that their community was missing a drive-thru coffee location that provided quick service and delicious coffee, so they decided to open Ziggi’s in El Dorado located conveniently next to a school and the main highway,” Miller said.” These franchisees have a strong connection with their community and are excited to bring the taste of Ziggi’s to the town.”
According to the company website, Ziggi’s has locations outside Colorado
in states including Oregon, California, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico among several others.
Miller said location choice is based on franchise owner selection.
“Ziggi’s… selectively brings on franchise owners that are committed to the brand and truly believe in the company as a whole. This company signs agreements based on people, not places, so it is up to franchise owners to determine where they want to open their location,” she said. “For this specific location, local franchise owners saw the needs for a drive-thru coffee concept in their community and chose to open a Ziggi’s due to their incredibly diverse menu, speed of service and overall company culture.”
A menu available on the company’s website lists items including coffee, teas, Italian sodas, smoothies and various food items.
Miller also said that the El Dorado location will employ “20 to 25 people.”
